Office Manager, PR Company, permanent role, to £35K.

Our client a busy PR firm based in London is looking for an Office Manager to start ASAP. This is a permanent role paying to £35K.

The main duties are:

Reception function:

  • recruit, train and manage front of staff team
  • mentor junior staff members
  • stand in for junior team when needed i. answer and screen incoming calls
  • welcome guests arriving at the office

Day-to-day running of the office, including:

  • manage team events and entertainment
  • maintaining office and stationery supplies
  • manage telephone system
  • first-line IT support (working with offsite IT support)
  • manage outsourced IT Support
  • manage facilities relationships such as gas/water/cleaners
  • management of office seat moves
  • responsible for health and safety
  • ensure maintenance / building management takes place when needed
  • ensure that the office and meeting rooms are kept clean and tidy at all times

PA duties to senior team members

  • undertake ad hoc projects as required
  • central point of contact for travel agent/travel bookings

The successful candidate must have previous experience of working as an Office Manager. You need to have strong verbal and written communication skills, be a problem solver, able to handle multiple tasks, and to gain the confidence of colleagues in executing those tasks. You need to be able to use your own initiative, be honest, quick to admit mistakes and calm in working to correct them and have strong IT skills. A creative background and an interest in PR are desirable, although not essential.
