A top private equity house in Chelsea require a qualified Part Time Accountant to work closely with their Financial Director and founding partner. The role will be for 2/3 days per week (to be discussed), and based in their office in Chelsea. You will be joining a highly respected firm, work alongside a wonderful team of colleagues and have a lot of opportunity to grow in this role. It requires a fully qualified accountant with an analytical mind and commercial experience in a similar setting. Someone logical, organised and with strong attention to detail.
Main tasks include:
- Management of SAGE
- Setting up payment of invoices
- Posting directors fees/arrangement fees on SAGE. Monitor receipt of cash
- Deferred income calculation, accruals/prepayments, fixed assets journals
- Preparation of monthly consolidated management accounts for ACP
- Preparation of year end statutory accounts (with help and review from FD)
- Quarterly VAT returns
- Bank account reconciliations and monitoring of bank accounts/ transfers between accounts
- Fund entities
- Bank account reconciliations
- Enter invoices on SAGE
- Accruals and prepayments
- Posting drawdowns and distributions on SAGE
- Preparation of quarterly Fund accounts on SAGE (Third and Fourth Fund) and excel (2007 and 2008)
- Preparation of quarterly LP statements to be sent out with accounts
- Roll quarterly portfolio summaries – valuations, journals, Track record, IRR sheet
- Post investment level journals to SAGE/excel accounts
- Monitor receipt of cash
- Provide K-1 information to auditors
- Assist with responding to LP queries
There will of course be other ad hoc reporting as required. This is an office based role, and requires a qualified accountant who would like to work part time in a top private equity firm.
