THE COMPANY:

A high-end Construction company based in the heart of the City, are looking for a HR Administrator to join their team. You will have gained knowledge of HR processes and be looking to grow within their HR team. THE ROLE:

The main purpose of the role is to provide timely, accurate and effective administrative support to the HR team and client base relating to the business engineering services.

 Duties include:
 
  • Offers of employment: Responsible for raising employment offers accurately and promptly and with awareness of current practice within the company, raising and addressing inconsistencies if they arise.
  • Acceptances: Processing acceptance documentation for new staff, chasing missing documents, updating divisions with starters information, sending out welcome letters and setting up new records on the HR database.
  • Probation Reviews: On a monthly basis alert HR team and managers of the expiry of employees’ probation periods, confirm successful completion to employees via letter and update the HR system.
  • Process leavers, send out leaver notifications and update records.
  • Maintain HR Database
  • To ensure that all manual/electronic records and the HR database are kept up to date, take responsibility for running mail merges when necessary, set up new records for starters and maintain the online employee system 
  • Check and process all HR invoices.
  • Absence management: Ensure absence is correctly logged and fit notes or self-certificates are received. Assist HRA with running reports as and when required and raising sickness trigger points.
  • Process reference requests such as mortgage, tenancy and Visa applications.
  • Monitor the work permit spreadsheet and highlight to the HRA when permits are due to expire.
  • To undertake any other reasonable duties as requested by your line manager on a permanent/temporary basis.
  • Provide stats to proposals for tenders as and when needed.

THE PERSON:
  • Knowledge and good understanding of working in an HR function 
  • Willing to learn, ability to absorb knowledge and use their initiative
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Keen eye for attention to detail and accuracy in delivery a high quality service
  • IT Systems oriented who can easily grasp understanding of the HR system
  • Excellent writing skills when constructing letters, emails and correspondences
  • Able to work to deadlines with focus on results and quality of service
  • Focused on promoting best practice in line with Company Policy and Procedures.
  • Pleasant and confident telephone manner
  • Methodical and proactive approach to duties
  • Proficient knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Educated at least at A-level standard, Degree level (or equivalent) is desirable
