Our prestigious international law firm client is currently looking for a HR adviser to join their fantastic team on an initial 12 month FTC. The HR Adviser will have specific client groups to which they will provide HR support, hold core task responsibilities and ensure the provision of a professional and high quality HR service.  The key responsibilities will be having a full understanding of the firm's policies and processes, providing advice and support on a range of HR issues including terms and conditions of employment, family friendly policies, appraisal process, long term sick issues and other absence, acting as a point of contact for employees on maternity leave and shared parental leave, managing holiday entitlement, flexible working requests and assisting with return to work plans, advising on and managing employee relations issues as required, including conduct and capability issues, grievance, dismissals and redundancy, monitoring absence levels from absence reports and notifying the relevant managers of any issues, working closely with the Occupational Health Adviser and managing existing long term sickness claims, managing HR related PA issues including absence and performance concerns, advising the Head of Secretarial Services where required, monitoring recruitment and new joiner administration and co-ordinating with the People Administration team where needed, ensuring on boarding checks and processes are completed in line with the firm's standard policies and procedures, in conjunction with the Recruitment team undertaking interviews as required, undertaking inductions for new joiners, monitoring probationary procedures and liaising with the appropriate partners and managers for feedback, managing probation extension and advising managers/partners throughout the process, conducting exit interviews and advising on issues to be followed up, acting as an escalation point for the PeopleAdmin team. Candidates must have previous experience at HR adviser level form a professional services background and excellent communication skills across all levels of the business.
