An award winning UK Law firm is looking to hire a new Senior Business Development Executive to work within the firms Insurance practice to deliver marketing and business development devices at practice level to the International insurance Group – the role has a primary focus on marketing and BD, however will be involved in other go to market initiatives including client development, strategic events and supporting commercially important pitches.  Responsibilities will include supporting the Senior Business Development Manager to develop and implement the business plans required by each of the Insurance sub groups to develop long range development plans coupled to shorter term financial, business development and resourcing targets, overseeing and monitoring marketing and business development budgets and expenditure for the Insurance Group and the individual sub-groups, providing advice and guidance to lawyers concerning how to raise profile, awareness and drive market reputation to key buyer groups, working alongside lawyers to identify the relevant positioning and marketing tactics including client seminars, PR, legal updates, bulletins, blogs, sponsorships, client hospitality, and legal directory submissions, project managing marketing requests and work with the central Brand and Marketing services team to execute marketing tactics and ensure all key channels are used to maximise impact from relevant communications and collateral, ensuring the Insurance Group's marketing initiatives dovetail with firmwide marketing and brand building activities, managing the process of overseeing horizon scanning and regular discussion of relevant market and client intelligence, sharing information with key stakeholders, proactively suggesting use of/applications with clients, working with the sub-groups to develop compelling and competitive value propositions by industry focus and team with a particular focus on identifying products which can be taken to market, packaging and promote the sub group's expertise to the relevant partners, (and in particular the Insurance Key Account Partners), to enable cross selling of expertise internally across the Group and ultimately to our clients, supporting the management of the Insurance Key Account Programme including priority client account planning and management and preparation of quarterly reporting.   Candidates must be educated at degree level. With previous business development or marketing experience within a professional services organisation, preferably within a law firm.  In addition a candidates must have strong operational and project management skills, in addition to strong interpersonal and communication skills.
