We're excited to be assisting an international design company with the recruitment of a first-class Receptionist to join their Front of House Team in the London office.


This is a contract position of 3-6 months and candidates must therefore be available immediately.

Our client is ideally looking for an experienced Receptionist with a keen knowledge and appreciation of the art and design fields.

As the first impression and representative of this esteemed company, you will:

  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls, relaying succinct and accurate messages as appropriate
  • To meet, greet and make welcome all visitors and guests
  • Keep meeting room calendar up to date
  • Book meeting rooms in company calendar, making sure all requests will be met
  • Ensure the Reception area is well presented and service meetings as and when required
  • Ensure telephone lists are updated regularly / as employees move around the studio
  • Log all incoming registered and couriered post
  • To book all cars and couriers over the phone and online
  • Responsible for managing all out of hours international couriers, making sure collections are made
  • Emailing and filing faxes
  • Order any refreshments, food/beverages for meetings
  • To undertake ad hoc duties as and when required
  • Assist in making and serving refreshments if required
  • Assisting other departments with adhoc administrative duties.

The successful candidate will have/be:

  • Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in arts related field
  • Previous Reception experience
  • Cultural awareness and etiquette for dealing with high profile visitors or callers to the studio
  • Good time management skills
  • MS Office suite (diary management, email correspondence)
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Exceptional etiquette and awareness in dealing with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds
  • Exceptional personal presentation
  • Preferably fluent in more than one language
  • Reliable
  • Diplomatic and confidential
  • An inclusive team player
  • Organised and calm in a highly pressurised environment
