Our client is a leading and successful luxury beauty retailer. Operating globally and experiencing continuous growth, we are currently  hiring for an experienced HR & Payroll Manager for the New York, US corporate office. 

The successful candidate will be super organised and detail oriented in order to run employee relations for the 120 person NY team. 

Reporting to the Director or HR, the Human Resources Manager’s main responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

Payroll & Benefits 

  • Processing weekly multi-state payroll
  • Managing the benefits’ programs
  • Employee relations
  • Policy implementation
  • Compliance
  • Working with ADP as point of contact
  • Administration of employee programs, recruitment and onboarding

Employee Relations 

  • Build strong relationships with employees and provide guidance and support and coaching through employee relations issues
  • Coordinate employee orientation, development and training
  • Conduct exit interviews 

 Operations

  • Responsible for organizing and completing all company audits 
  • Manage the day-to-day HR operations, organize and update employee files, reports, etc. 
  • Stay up to date on changing employment laws, and industry trends in policies
  • Assist with the day-to-day efficient operations of the HR department 
  • Assists with recruiting - screen resumes, interview candidates 
  • Manage and coordinate temporary staff needs

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field preferred
  • Ideally 5-7 years previous payroll, benefits and HR experience required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, strong Excel and PPT skills
  • Exceptional organizational and analytical skills
  • Experience with an HRIS system required; knowledge of ADP Workforce Now is strongly preferred
  • Self-starter with the ability to think outside the box
  • Attention to detail is a must
