Our client, a leading charitable organisation specialising in social work are looking for an IT and Facilities Officer to join their team on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will be supporting the day-to-day running of the IT and facilities management for the offices across the country. You will have excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and demands.

Responsibilities:

  • Setting up IT and telecoms equipment and conducting inductions for new starters, covering email, access to SharePoint, mobile phones and laptops
  • Working with the Technology Manager to ensure high visibility, awareness and adherence with Information Security requirements
  • Coordinating the set-up and ongoing maintenance of audio visual, telecoms and video connectivity across regions
  • Coordinating the day-to-day relationship management with the outsourced IT helpdesk provider, acting as a point of escalation for the resolution of issues
  • Troubleshooting IT and telecoms hardware and peripheral issues, seeking support when needed and escalating complex and significant issues to the Technology Manager
  • Providing front of house and security management for the premises including issuing employee and visitor access
  • Managing office maintenance and repairs, cleaning, recycling and waste management, IT helpdesk, telecoms and printing

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Excellent IT literacy in all Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong working knowledge of Office 365, SharePoint, cloud computing, mobile technologies and telephony
  • Working knowledge of information security standards and protocols
  • Demonstrable customer service, supplier relationship management and project management experience
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and demands
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Proactive approach and ability to prioritise work and remain calm under pressure
  • Demonstrable passion for, and motivation to deliver, excellent customer service
