One of the leading architecture firms in the United Kingdom is looking for a Document Control Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be supporting the Document Control team and a range of Project Teams with the day to day running of projects, assisting each by carrying out a number of duties in a rigorous and efficient manner. You will have a flexible approach to work that will allow the role to develop with the evolving needs of the practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting to maintain the various project extranet and EDMS sites including Conject, Asite, Viewpoint, Aconex plus more
  • Carrying out routine Document Control activities including filing, uploading and downloading, printing, query handling, copying and scanning
  • Managing drawing files according to individual project procedures
  • Ensuring all procedures and protocols are followed at all times
  • Assisting to maintain the practice-wide document management system
  • Archiving completed project information
  • Supporting the wider project team beyond Document Control responsibilities

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Educated to A' Level standard
  • Some document control experience within the architectural industry is preferred
  • Strong IT skills, including good working knowledge of Microsoft Office; Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Rigorous attention to detail
  • Motivated and positive
  • Ability to work independently, using own initiative when required
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Flexible, with a willingness to tackle a variety of duties and to learn new skills
