A global Engineering and Design company based in central London is looking for an Office Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. You will be working closely with the UK Office Operations and Health and Safety Manager organising administrative activities to support the wider team. You will be professional, confident and have excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring the office is compliant with audits including health and safety audits and risk management plans
  • Ensuring ongoing improvements to optimise the office working environment
  • Arranging and maintaining maintenance contracts
  • Ensuring quality of deliverable is maintained and improved through support staff training and mentoring
  • Leading the office incident response team meetings and ensuring plans are tested regularly
  • Ensuring office initiatives are supported where needed
  • Dealing with any queries
  • Providing Personal Assistant duties to the Office Director and supporting the wider team
  • Collaborating with Finance, IT, HR Health and Safety, Business Development and Marketing to ensure initiatives are coordinated and support is given where appropriate
  • Communicating with other Office Managers and joining scheduled meetings to establish procedures and set standards
  • Identifying areas for improvement where required to ensure a cohesive regional approach
  • Monitoring performance and carrying out annual performance development reviews
  • Setting upcoming budgets and authorising spend within guidelines and monitor usage

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • A minimum of two years' experience as an Office Manager
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Experience in the relevant field is desirable but not required
