One of the leading architecture firms in the UK is looking for a Facilities Manager Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be providing support to the Facilities Management team ensuring the office is operating at a high level of safety each day. You will be motivated with a willingness to tackle a variety of duties and learn new skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Implementing daily health and safety and maintenance checks and reporting where necessary
  • Carrying out minor office maintenance repairs
  • Moving the furniture in the Project Room and Refectory as per meeting requirements
  • Maintaining heating and cooling throughout the office
  • Assisting with operation meeting rooms including setting up AV equipment
  • Distributing IT assets to staff which have been booked
  • Maintaining all communal areas
  • Ensuring post is brought up from post room - assisting the Reception Team
  • Purchasing items on behalf of the team, in line with financial procedures
  • Assisting with external and internal event set up in meeting rooms
  • Visiting the storage unit, delivering items and keeping up to date records
  • Assisting with staff desk moves and setting up overall studio moves
  • Organising recycling of redundant IT equipment
  • Carrying out project and non-project archiving, keeping the database up to date at all times
  • Auditing and recording assets on site and the locations of, including laptops and projectors
  • Providing back-up to to the facilities team in times of holiday and absence

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office systems
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Flexibility with a willingness to tackle a variety of duties and to learn new skills
