The UK's leading business specialising in office fit out and refurbishments is looking for an Project Administrator to join their team on a temporary ongoing basis. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2+ years administration experience and knowledge of construction and design is preferred. You will be happy working autonomously and taking ownership over the role. As the Project Administrator, you will be controlling the flow and auditing documents, setting up filing systems and managing the operation and maintenance production. This role is based on site so the successful candidate will be comfortable in this environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Controlling document flow, ensuring that all revision-controlled documents are administered and distributed promptly via document control system
  • Managing operation and maintenance manual production from sub-contractors and managing approval
  • Reporting fortnightly unless otherwise stated
  • Assisting with collating handover files
  • Assisting with quality audits process
  • Collating Health and Safety and environmental files
  • Assisting with general administration duties including organising mail, arranging meetings, answering phone calls
  • Assisting with archiving documents
  • Preparing weekly resource allocation sheets; ensuring project and site managers have all site diaries uploaded on the company document control system
  • Organising security passes for new inductees daily and keeping relevant records
  • Assist in collating data for Zero Harm initiative
  • Organising team events
  • Providing reception cover and holiday / sickness cover to project administrator managers team as and when required

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • A minimum of 2+ years administration experience
  • Knowledge of the construction and design industry is preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office & Outlook
  • Highly organised with the ability to work on own initiative
  • Attention to detail
  • Able to work in a team environment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Good understanding of how information management fits into the construction process
