One of the world's leading business schools is looking for a Web Content Executive to join their team on a 6-month Fixed Term Contract. You will be working with teams across the business school to edit and rebuild web pages based around user research and business needs. You will lead the ongoing evaluation of site performance, using Google Analytics and client feedback, provide updates and observations on what's working well and what can be improved, and make recommendations for new directions where appropriate.

Responsibilities:

  • Building web pages using the new content management system ensuring that the user research principles are adhered to
  • Developing new pages for content based on templates and styles previously developed, ensuring users are able to easily find content
  • Coordinating and creating original content for the website based on business needs, as well as user needs and behaviour
  • Leading the development of principles and guidelines for editing, creating and publishing content for the website, working with relevant teams across the Business School
  • Migrating content from the old CMS into the new CMS
  • Reviewing and editing existing and new content and align it to tone of voice and brand
  • Documenting and prioritising content enhancements to ensure scope is aligned to website priorities
  • Working on a range of content types including copy, diagrams, videos and imagery which will help our users to better navigate and understand our web pages
  • Overseeing the production of content by different teams and, where necessary, external suppliers to ensure there is consistency in the content created and that it meets brand guidelines
  • Monitoring the performance of the web content using tools such as Google Analytics and put forward recommendations based on these results
  • Responsibility for ensuring that data and content is prioritised, accurate, up-to-date and complete

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Strong editorial skills and ability to create content that is both accessible, usable and optimised for search engines
  • Strong content marketing skills
  • Excellent standards of accuracy, consistency and attention to detail
  • Ability to act independently and make decisions without supervision, using judgement and discretion
  • Digital content production skills, based on a range of media such as text, data and images
  • Digital content production skills for video and audio
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Working independently to solve problems, schedule, organise and carry out a wide variety of tasks
  • Experience gained in a position such as website editor, digital editor, content editor, or content producer, content strategist, content manager
  • Experience in a content marketing environment
  • Experience working with external vendors/ 3rd party suppliers
  • Experience in engaging and managing senior stakeholders
  • Experience in Higher Education
  • Experience writing to support student recruitment and admissions
