What do you get if you add one of the most well-known people in their industry, a brilliant strategy and funding?
Answer: An amazing start-up situation…that just potentially got better for you, because said Founder now needs an Executive Assistant to join them at their start-up.
And to make it even more exciting, you’re going to be in the team before the team has fully formed and the paint has finished drying on their brand-new Mayfair Office.
With a small yet perfectly formed team of 5 (6 including you), you’re going to get to work to build, build, build from the very first morning and to offer you the cherry on the top of the cake a lot of the heavy lifting (in terms of fundraising and putting money in the bank) has already taken place.
Now it’s time for the execution of the plan.
You’re going to be EA to the Founder and help them navigate their new life away from their previous C-Suite life, you’re also going to work in tandem with the Chief Operations Officer as they bring the vision to life.
And what a vision it’s going to be.
Your role will be split into two main components.
Executive/Private Assistant to Founding Partner as he navigates his new normal across all business-related activities, travelling, fundraising, investor meetings, pitches, and engaging with Entrepreneurs/Business Leaders. This is going to be a big part in the beginning as the Principal adjusts to a new way of life, and we envisage you will be ‘utilised’ a lot in the early days of this new project.
Working with the COO to ‘build the business’; research, finding suppliers, fitting out a brand-new office, working on HR, Legal and any other issues that arise (and they will, as it's all brand new!)
In return, we’re looking at a salary level of £60,000 - £80,000 + Bonus + Equity (more on the Equity part when we meet), but needless to say, this has HUGE potential for long-term career and financial growth.
The role will also support a mixture of hybrid/flexible working – and whilst this is yet to still be ironed out, we do know from our meeting that the business is a grown-up office, where everyone understands the work and tasks at hand and you will not be expected to travel into the office ‘unnecessarily’.
To be considered for this role, there are some ‘must haves’ and some ‘nice to haves.’
You must have experience supporting someone at a similar level (Managing Partner/CEO/Founder) within a small Financial environment (Private Equity, Hedge Fund, Venture Capital, Family Office).
You must have a notice period of no more than one month.
If you have previous experience of running an office then that will also be a huge bonus.
