Administrator (Part-Time – 2.5 days per week)

Remote with 1 day per month in the Central London Chambers

£35,000 - £40,000 FTE | Circa £18,000 pro rata 

 

Our client, a prestigious Barristers’ Chambers, is seeking a highly organised and proactive individual to join them in a part-time capacity as an Administrator, focusing heavily on scheduling and reporting into the Head of People.

This newly created role offers an initial six-month contract with potential to become permanent and will require approximately 2.5 days per week, with flexibility to spread the hours across at least four days.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • The primary focus of this role will be scheduling meetings and coordinating arrangements for a variety of critical processes and events, including:
  • Organising recruitment panels and supporting the recruitment process.
  • Managing pupillage recruitment schedules, including panel meetings.
  • Coordinating induction schedules for new team members with multiple stakeholders.
  • Arranging training sessions for barristers and staff. Scheduling committee and management board meetings.
  • Coordinating visits and meetings related to the upcoming premises move.
  • Liaising with busy, self-employed professionals and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and prompt responses.  

 

What We’re Looking For:

This is not an entry-level administrative role; it requires a candidate with the following attributes and experience:

  • Experience managing complex schedules and prioritising tasks effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of liaising politely yet effectively with a variety of people.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Comfortable receiving and acting on instructions from senior and junior staff in a fast-paced environment.
  • High attention to detail, ensuring nothing slips through the cracks, even with competing demands.
  • Open to learning and taking ownership of processes to alleviate workloads for others.
