Type: Temporary to Permanent Contract

A Primary School in Lewes is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Office Admin Assistant to join their lovely office team of four. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in school administration, or a similar environment, who is looking to contribute to the smooth running of their school office.

Responsibilities:

  1. General Office Support: Provide administrative support to the school office team, including filing, data entry, and managing phone calls.
  2. Student Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.
  3. Communication: Assist in handling communication between parents, teachers, and other school staff. Respond to inquiries and provide information as needed.
  4. Admissions Support: Assist with the admissions process, including processing applications and supporting parents with relevant paperwork.
  5. Attendance Tracking: Monitor and record student attendance, working closely with teaching staff to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
  6. Events Coordination: Assist in the coordination of school events and activities, including managing logistics and communication.
  7. Financial Administration: Support the finance team in tasks such as invoicing, handling payments, and maintaining financial records.

Requirements:

  1. Experience: Previous experience in school administration or a similar role is highly desirable.
  2. Adaptability: The ability to adapt to a school learning environment and work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other school staff.
  3. Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to manage various administrative tasks efficiently.
