Our client is a prestigious US law firm - they are now looking to recruit a Practice Team Assistant to join their expanding and busy IP practice group in London.

The Practice Team Assistant will support the IP group by being responsible for a variety of administrative tasks.

You will ideally have at least a year’s experience working as an Administrator / Legal Assistant / Team Assistant at a recognised law firm.

The core hours are 9.30am to 5.30pm (with flexibility required). The salary on offer is up to £32,000 plus benefits. This role is a permanent position. They are currently using a hybrid working pattern where you will be able to work remotely for 2 days a week.

Responsibilities as a Practice Team Assistant will include:

  • Arrange travel and prepare travel itineraries
  • Process expense reports, check requests, scanning, copying, word processing and document retrieval
  • Maintain case and client files
  • Process new business intake and related forms
  • Time entry, answer phones and take messages, schedule appointments and coordinate meetings
  • Provide general assistance with invoice processing
  • Provide legal research, case support and project assistance
  • Use InterAction database to support business development, including updating contact information
  • Book seminars / conferences and maintain CPD records for fee earners in line with SRA requirements
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements as a Practice Team Assistant include:

  • Previous experience of working within a law firm
  • At least a year’s experience working as an Administrator / Team Assistant / Legal Assistant
  • Extensive knowledge of MS Office - Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • CILEx qualification would be desirable
  • Educated to A-Level standard
  • Ability to prioritise multiple duties
  • Strong organisational skills
