An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a completely borderless web3 scale up, a company who work across time zones, jurisdictions, and borders. The now need a strong, proactive Associate Lawyer to lead on strategy, risk mitigation and compliance.
This role will be completely remote, without set working hours, promoting a ‘work-from-anywhere’ ethos, dealing with an international workforce and stakeholders across multiple time zones. A very exciting and forward-thinking organisation to join at a crucial time in their growth.
Roles and responsibilities:

Roles and responsibilities:
- Ensuring that the business carries out all its’ practices in a compliant matter, through careful mapping and understanding of requirements in various jurisdictions – installing risk mitigation solutions and legal strategies.
- Acting as a trusted source of legal advice, both verbal and written, on all employment law matters throughout the jurisdiction
- Assisting in creating and negotiating Terms of Business with various external clients
- Developing, rolling out and enforcing internal company policies
- Overseeing and supporting on employment-related disputes, including acting as a liaison with outside council
- Supporting various departments, as required, with legal and employment matters, as they emerge, from client requests
- Examining for accuracy employment documents required to be an employer in the assigned jurisdiction, ensuring both global and local compliance
- 3+ years prior experience, either in-house or private practice, in a corporate advisory or employment matters capacity
- Thorough understanding of international employment law and employment related disputes
- Qualified to practice law in the UK
- Extremely organised with the ability to prioritise workload, and capable of working across multiple time zones effectively
- Passionate on delivering a legal service of the highest quality, with great attention to detail
- Outstanding communication skills, with an ability to influence and persuade stakeholders at the highest level
- Adept at working both autonomously and as part of a team
