An extremely unique role has arisen for a Business Manager to support a highly successful entrepreneur on a permanent basis. The Principal is well-known within the e-commerce space and has a newly created Family Office that manages significant wealth across a broad range of asset classes such as equities, property, and start-ups/private equity. The Principal also invests a lot of time and money into his charitable foundation.
The Principal is looking for a highly organised and driven person with an entrepreneurial mindset to join the team reporting directly to the Principal of the Family Office. This is an exciting and all-encompassing role, with huge scope to progress and make it your own over time. You will be an extension of the Principal and their right-hand person.
The desired candidate will need to exercise a high-level of judgement, work independently, in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities, draw from experience to perform advanced support and maintain a high level of confidentiality. The right candidate will be flexible in terms of out of hours support to meet the needs of the Principal, where necessary. This is a hybrid role with your time split between South Manchester and providing remote support. Some international travel may be required when necessary.
A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

Duties will include, providing a high-level of support to the Principal, including:
- Strategically managing the Principal’s time and calendar by exercising discretion and decision-making while sorting and filtering requests for their time while ensuring strategic priorities are met in a timely manner.
- Keeping the Principal on schedule by providing prompts.
- Attending key meetings with the Principal with the purpose of ensuring follow-up and execution on identified next steps.
- Performing special projects as directed by the Principal, including the review, research or analysis of information.
- Overseeing, coordinating and assisting with routine administrative duties such as, receiving telephone calls and correspondence and prioritising them; coordinating the Principal’s business and personal travel program and itineraries, preparing and proofreading documents, organising data for special reports.
- Tracking projects to ensure delivery in accordance with deadlines and ensure within operational budgets.
- Overseeing the Principal’s overseas and UK properties, working with the local teams to ensure all are running properly and to budget.
Person Specification:
- An organised individual who can work proactively to identify and solve problems
- Previous experience supporting a successful entrepreneur/CEO/HNWI in a similar style role is highly advantageous
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Able to work effectively cross-team to make things happen, dealing with everyone, from the Principal to other members of the investment, accounts and typical family office functions
- A strategic thinker who looks beyond the obvious and ordinary
- You're a proactive, quick learner and can handle multiple tasks at once
- Ability to be hands-on in a fast-paced environment
- Tech savvy and enjoy working with new software and technologies
- Confident communicator who can turn a challenging situation around
- Flexible, with an entrepreneurial mindset
- Have high-level thinking, to understand how your work impacts the big picture
- Strong excel skills and a general analytical mind
