Our client is an elite US law firm – they are now looking to recruit a Legal Talent Assistant on a permanent basis to join their fantastic Legal Talent team in the City.

The Legal Talent Assistant will focus on the lateral recruitment side of the team, working closely with the Senior Legal Talent Manager. You will also get involved with the trainee and summer program administration during busier times.

You will ideally have strong administrative experience gained from a professional services environment who is capable of dealing with multiple administrative tasks within the team.

This is a full time, permanent position, hours for this role are standard 9:30am-5:30pm. The client is currently operating a hybrid working pattern. The role will be paying up to £30,000 plus very generous benefits!

Your responsibilities as a Legal Talent Assistant:

  • Liaise with interviewers, PAs, agencies and candidates to schedule interviews
  • Ensure accurate and current data entry in the database, and circulate reminders for feedback
  • Assist with data entry of departmental reports to ensure accuracy of office data, and maintain a Respond to recruitment queries (from individuals and agencies)
  • Draft agency terms documents
  • Prepare draft offer letters, reference requests and speculative response letters and emails
  • Coordinate with HR on onboarding processes for new recruits, post-offer stage and updates
  • Maintain joiner & leaver checklists, schedule meetings with buddies and liaise with HR
  • Prepare interview and induction packs
  • Assist in organisation of recruitment events to include trainee open days
  • Assist in the administration of the online application system
  • Assist with all logistics for trainee summer programmes
  • Assisting in the organisation of trainee social events
  • Manage diaries for interviews, meetings, workshops and other events
  • Schedule virtual meetings on the firm’s virtual platform and provide assistance during meetings
  • Book rooms, organise catering and other requirements for events and meetings

Requirements as a Legal Talent Assistant:

  • Previous early careers experience would be beneficial
  • Strong administrative experience gained from a professional services environment
  • Educated to bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly skilled on all MS Office applications
  • Ability to be flexible to meet the demands of the work
