We are look out for an experienced Purchasing Administrator who will provide administrative support to the Purchasing function as well as ensuring the ERP system (MS Dynamics AX12) is kept fully up to date.

Main Responsibilities will include:

Support the daily management of key supplier accounts (external suppliers) in order to maintain and develop relationships, place and expedite orders and provide data for month-end reporting and KPIs as requested.
Convert Requisitions into Purchase Orders on to the AX2012 system (ensuring that the order details are correct in terms of pricing, delivery, specification and order quantity) as well as including filing of Purchase Orders and related administration including all quotations to ensure that a full audit trail is in place for all purchase orders.
Expedite all outstanding Purchase Orders. Obtain delivery information for all overdue purchase orders and orders due in the next 5 working days. Report on all overdue purchase orders. Advise all delivery delays or supplier problems. Maintain AX2012 to ensure the order file database is clean and up-to-date and able to support ATP (available-to-promise).
Collating data for the Supplier Performance Review system by analysing delivery and quality performance. Generate graphical data when requested.
Support with site services including maintaining stock of office stationery and consumables and assuming responsibility for the call out of engineers for specific maintenance contracts such as vending machines.
Provide price and delivery information from suppliers as requested. Investigate and resolve invoice / delivery queries.
Monitor and report all price variations and supplier price changes. Challenge all price increases with Suppliers to ensure best value is achieved. Co-ordinate activities with Aliaxis Central Purchasing.
Create and maintain Supplier trade agreements / price files on AX2012
Create and maintain product data on AX2012
Create and maintain product BoM data

Requirements

In depth experience of ERP software (ideally AX12)
3-5 years experience in a purchasing / manufacturing administration role that includes;

Placing and expediting orders

Contact with UK and non-UK suppliers

Challenging pricing

Database maintenance

IT literate (including Excel, Word and Outlook)
Ability to communicate clearly - both verbally and written
Ability to work effectively and build relationships in a team environment
