Are you confident managing client relationships?

Our client is looking for an entrepreneurial and driven Account Manager to serve the needs of their diverse client portfolio and support their new business development team.

What you’ll be doing day-to-day:

  • Coordinating PR programmes to support clients’ business objectives
  • Advising on and aiding the preparation of communication materials, for example key messages, Q&A, presentations and announcements
  • Contributing to new business development initiatives, including pitching
  • Carrying out background research for current clients and new business
  • Preparing press analysis and summaries as well as briefing journalists on client stories
  • Organising meetings with the media and analysts, organising and attending press launches
  • Preparing media distribution lists for press releases
  • Conducting and compiling analyst feedback reports
  • Researching forward features

The skills you need to bring:

  • At least three years’ experience in financial or corporate communications, or comparable expertise in a related field. A specialism in infrastructure would be preferable
  • Commercial acumen and experience of driving new business development
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Confident interpersonal skills, able to inspire confidence and successfully manage client accounts
  • Proactive, highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Strong understanding of regulatory affairs
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience of social and online media
  • Strong network of contacts (journalists and advisors)
  • Strong IT skills, in particular MS Office
