Supporting the AP Processing Team Leader, the Senior AP Processing Administrator is to look after the processes and coordinate the output, completion and quality of the Processing team within the Accounts Payable function (based in Manchester). The role incorporates coordinator responsibilities of a team as per the organisation chart that will be made available.
The individual will work closely with the Accounts Payable Team Leader to coordinate and maintain the Processing teams workload and ensure the best internal and external customer experience is given by the function, meeting agreed SLA's and KPI's.
A self-motivated individual, they will also be subject matter expert in Accounts Payable and the full purchase to pay cycle, have the ability to demonstrate reliability, flexibility, initiative and role model behaviours to the team.

This opening for an AP Processing Clerk sits within a fast paced, friendly and experienced team, made up of 1 Senior Manager, 4 Team Leaders, and a wider network of colleagues within AP/AR & Credit Controller, who work with a variety of clients and provide high level service
Key Responsibilities of the Role
Working with the AP Processing Team Leader, assist in coordinating the Processing team in line with the processes as detailed below:
Processing Team
- Ensure key supplier relationships are maintained and any queries are carried out accurately and timely on a regular basis, balancing critical accounts, holding meetings with different levels of the organisation.
- Maintain, coordinate and control the AP Processing Systems (Eg. Proactis) to agreed process and SLA
- Maintain, coordinate and control the Client System manual entry to agreed process and SLA
- Bring continuous improvement to processes and role
- Liaison with the wider Accounts Payable Teams to form a one-team approach in relation to agreed processes.
Working with the AP Processing Team Leader to assist with:
- deliver and maintain a strategy programme for the Processing team, linking to the overall department objectives
- review procedures in line with the service delivery and best practice
- assist the AP Processing Team Leader in the resource requirements for the team under remit
- deliver KPIs to monitor performance, highlighting and therefore improving results for the Processing team.
- Report KPI performance
- Misc reporting/ad-hoc projects
- Assist with cross over tasks and team leadership with the other AP teams
People Leadership:
- Coordinate clear objectives in line with company/Divisional/team strategy and to measure performance against these
- Hold regular team meetings and support team members in training through probationary, interim and annual appraisals as per company guidelines
- To adhere to all company processes with regards to people management and to role model professional behaviours at all times
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Experience
- Minimum 2 years involvement with management of an AP function
- Proven experience of dealing with internal / external clients at all levels
- Strong communication skills
- Knowledge of business process / procedures
- Experience in multi-disciplined functions
Technical experience:-
- Relevant finance qualifications is desirable
- Strong analytical & IT skills
