Coventry University has been ranked joint first amongst Modern Universities in England for career prospects and we are in the top six universities for student experience. Our commitment to providing the best for our students doesn't stop with them, it starts with our people. Without our dedicated teams, we wouldn't be ranked so highly or have won so many awards.
We are looking for senior administrators to join us here in the Registry team. We live and breathe a passion for supporting Coventry University on all matters concerning student and course support. We work hand-in-hand with our academic colleagues and our students, ensuring their academic journeys are excellent in every respect - from their first enrolment right through to graduation.
We're not just looking for the ordinary; we need people who are energetic, enthusiastic and have a passion for accuracy, professionalism, and excellent customer service. You will be working in a fast-paced department and will be trained on University procedures and regulations, and in the best ways to support staff and students.
You will need to be
- A team player: you're flexible in outlook and will pitch-in to support your colleagues with ideas and support, and you're willing to teach, learn, lead, and follow, ideally with previous line management experience.
- Customer-focused: You understand your impact on a customer's experience because you've been in their shoes; you listen closely, understand their needs, and go above-and-beyond to create the best possible experience. Able to work flexibly, to support the occasional evening or weekend work as required.
- A clear communicator: Concise and articulate, you can get your point across positively and professionally, both in writing and in conversation. You understand the need to tailor your communications to the situation, and to be mindful of the rich cultural diversity of the university.
- Tech 'savvy': You'll be comfortable with the MS Office suite, know your way around a Word document and spreadsheet, and keen to become an expert in our business systems.
You should be qualified to degree level or be able to demonstrate extensive relevant experience. Experience of working in Higher Education would be beneficial, but not essential.
There's plenty of opportunity to develop here, with opportunities to move around different teams within the department and gain a wide range of skills and experience. Coventry University will provide support to you in your career and working environment through, additional training, and on-the-job experience and networks of support.
As well as a competitive salary, we have a range of impressive benefits some of which are pension schemes, generous holiday allowances, personal and professional development, employee networks and discounted membership to the University's bespoke GBP4m sport and recreation centre where the University offers a physiotherapy service for all staff.
Interviews and assessments will be held on 15th & 22 June 2022 in central Coventry, between 8:45am and 2pm and you must be able to attend for the whole period.
CV's not accepted. Applicants must complete the application form fully, clearly linking their knowledge/skills/experience to the job description.
Closing date: 31st May 2022
