Finance and HR Manager
Finance and HR Manager, GBP65,000 - GBP70,000 per annum Monday to Friday based in Cambridge We are looking for someone with proven Finance Management experience for his varied role within the biotechnology industry, based in Cambridge centre. This completely new Finance and HR Manager role will give you the opportunity to "make it your own". You will be involved in strategic decision making and the management and leadership of the internal team. As a Finance and HR Manager you will be:
- Analysing and presenting financial reports in an accurate and timely manner
- Clearly communicating monthly and annual financial statements and collating financial reporting
- Oversee all financial, project/program accounting
- Coordinating and leading the annual audit process
- Liaising with external auditors and the finance committee of the board of directors
- Oversee and lead annual budgeting and planning process in conjunction with the CEO
- Administer and review all financial plans and budgets
- Manage organizational cash flow and forecasting
- Implement a robust contracts management and financial management/ reporting system
- Update and implement all necessary business policies and accounting practices
- Improve the finance department's overall policy and procedure manual.
- Effectively communicate and present the critical financial matters to the board of directors.
- Assisting with the development of the human resources and administration departments
- Ensuring that the recruiting processes are consistent and streamlined
- Involved within the staff training programs
- Responsible for the company data store which contains all material relating to R&D, business processes, flows, volumes, experimental write ups etc.
- Fully qualified accountant
- At least five years of overall professional experience
- Ability to translate financial concepts to non-financial audience and to effectively collaborate with operations
- A successful track record in setting priorities; keen analytic, organization and problem solving skills which support and enable sound decision making
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills with an ability to prioritize, negotiate, and work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
- A multi-tasker with the ability to wear many hats in a fast-paced environment
- Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and dedication to the mission of Bio Scope Technologies
