Working at an renowned London events venue, our Junior Sales and Events Manager will be responsible for assisting the Head of Sales with the sales, planning and on the day event delivery of events. You’ll be focused on selling conferences, product launches, awards dinners and corporate parties as well as filming.
We’d like you to be ready with proactive ideas about how we maximise revenues, and deliver exceptional events. We are looking for an enthusiastic self starter with a proven sales track record.
What you’ll be responsible for:
· Take day to day bookings, telephone and email enquiries, sending successful quotes and conducing site visits as required, raising contracts and invoices.
· To carry out site visits with clients at every opportunity. Show them the venue and explain the space and options for various events, catering and production packages as well as logistics relating to set up and break down.
· To assist with coordinating events and preparing function sheets.
· To assist and event manage; meeting and greeting clients and ensure the client has a seamless event at the venue.
· To ensure all events are invoiced and reconciled in a timely manner, from the deposit schedule through to balance and commission invoices, chase late invoices and debt management.
· To assist the Head of Sales when needed with preparation required for weekly, monthly / annual reporting.
· To manage and maintain positive working relationships with key suppliers involved in event delivery.
· Attend networking events, exhibitions and other promotional activities as and when required to actively promote the venue and other venues in the portfolio.
· To assist in planning and help deliver the annual sales and marketing strategy.
Event Management:
• Ensure that no event presents a risk to either the Health & Safety of the client, employees working at the venue, or the building.
• Ensure that no client or event presents a risk to the reputation of the LCC and BB
Marketing.
• Undertake competitor analysis from time to time ensuring the venue is keeping abreast of its competitors, both in terms of pricing and product.
• Assist the Head of Sales in marketing activity which may be required from time to time.
You’ll need to have:
· At least 2 years of experience working within an event venue team or similar, with a brilliant sales record.
· Previous experience in a unique, exclusive central London venue.
· A cool head in a fast-paced, sometime chaotic environment. Prioritisation and time management are key.
· Exceptional organization, and a love for administration and process improvement.
· An open, honest communication style.
· Endless positivity, and a proactive approach to your work.
· Be able to self motivate and self manage.
· Previous experience of selling profitably, maximising sales and achieving targets.
· An excellent problem solver, who can always find a solution under pressure.
· Excellent communication skills.
· Proficient in the use of Mac computers, Microsoft Office packages to include Word and Excel. Use of email - Gmail or Outlook.
Salary £25-32K depending on experience
