HR Business Partner (fixed term maternity cover to July 2023)
We have a new opportunity for a HR Business Partner to join our high performing HR Team on a part time, fixed term basis until July 2023. Reporting to the HR Manager, Angela Denner-Mawer, you will develop effective professional relationships with a variety of stakeholders within our Apprenticeship and Employer Relations team.
Through an enabling and collaborative approach, you will play a crucial role in supporting high quality people management which is customer focused, results orientated and consistent with the College's strategy and priorities. You will also lead on the delivery of a range of HR projects to support the achievement of the organisation's ambitious strategic aims.
The Business Partner team is currently operating a hybrid model of working on site at College sites and at home, with a requirement to attend key client sites based in Derby once a week. Other examples of benefits you'll have access to as a Derby College employee include access to the Local Government Pension Scheme, discounts at selected retailers, free eyecare tests and discounted rail travel.
You will have recent experience of working in a busy HR department, reflecting a strong background effectively managing a diverse range of casework. Experience of providing effective and timely advice and guidance to both managers and staff on all aspects of employment policies and procedures is essential. Ideally, you will hold or be working towards a Level 5 CIPD qualification or demonstrate equivalent experience.
