AMAZING OPPORTUNITY FOR A FAMILY ASSISTANT TO SUPPORT A HNW FAMILY
We are looking for a trendy and trustworthy Family Assistant with a professional and friendly disposition to support a high-net-worth family with the management of the principal and their three children’s daily schedules, whilst also supporting the assistants to the principals. Given the work environment, we are ideally looking for an individual with a strong interest in fashion, media and the luxury goods industry, keen to kick-start their career supporting a high profile family.
A live-out role primarily based in North Oxfordshire, the role will also involve occasional travel to London/Suffolk, and possibly internationally. The ideal candidate will have a calm yet positive personality with a flexible, ‘can do’ attitude and a team player mentality. You will be highly discreet, trustworthy, tech savvy and have the ability to prioritise, and ideally have some prior experience of looking after children of various ages.
Working across 5 days per week, 40+ hours, flexibility is required around hours and weekend working. Supporting the principal’s PA, you will most likely work the later shift, roughly from 10 am to 7 pm. Occasional (although very infrequent) overnight stays are required when the parents are away, to be on call for the family and to be available to travel with the family on holidays, if needed. A driver is essential for this role, and you must be pet friendly.
DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Deal with all matters concerning the children and managing multiple complex diaries
- Support the principal’s PA across all functions, including shoots and events
- Organise and coordinate the children’s school, sports and after school clubs and other general activities
- Ensure all school uniforms (including the sports kits) are in place and the correct sizes ordered
- Clothes shopping and general purchasing of items for the children
- Drive the children when needed, including but not limited to; to and from school, play dates, sports days, birthday parties, events etc.
- Manage the children’s calendars including school holidays; arrange, coordinate suitable weekend, and holiday activities
- Source and coordinate tutors where necessary
- Manage expenses and report to the finance team in a timely fashion
- Assist in the support of the wider family in both a personal and business capacity
- Work closely with the rest of the support team on personal and business events and stepping in, where needed
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Prior experience supporting a family and looking after children of various ages
- Tech savvy and able to use Microsoft Office suite and all Apple products, as well as the latest must-have equipment
- Valid UK driver’s license and confident driver
- Located within an hour’s commute to Banbury, Oxfordshire
- Trustworthy, discreet, and well presented
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Flexible, positive, and reliable with a client-focused approach
- Excellent checkable references
