Our prestigious US Law Firm client is looking to hire a new Legal PA to join their Tax department on a permanent basis, to solely support a Senior Partner who is also Head of the department and some other fee earners in the team, providing a broad range of secretarial, document processing, administrative, marketing, and billing support.
Main duties for this Legal PA role will include working efficiently and effectively under pressure to meet multiple and critical deadlines, maintaining cooperative working relationships within office and practice groups, responding to client, staff, legal professionals and vendor inquiries, opening, screening and routing mail, managing faxes and electronic mail, greeting and assisting visiting clients; drafting routine correspondence and memoranda, updating recurring reports as assigned, providing coverage when necessary for any and all attorneys as requested, monitoring attorney time records to ensure compliance with established deadlines, maintaining filing system including paper, electronic and chronological files. Other responsibilities will include document production, heavy maintenance of the attorney calendar, advise attorney of appointments, reserving meeting rooms, preparing, and assessing new business intake forms, creating binders (e.g., working, closing, case, trial, etc.), making travel arrangements and maintaining attorney travel profiles.
Tax Legal PA candidates need to have a between 4 years’ + experience as a Legal secretary, preferably with some knowledge of Tax however a strong proactive, can-do attitude and experience dealing 1 on 1 with partners is more essential to this role. In addition candidates must have strong written, verbal and communication skills and strong experience using Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint and Outlook. Standard hours are 9am – 5pm. The firm are offering a salary of up to £51,000 for this role experience dependent, plus the chance of overtime.
