We are recruiting for an Assistant to join our busy Logistics team, we are keen to meet both experienced candidates as well as trainees as this is a great opportunity for someone interested in starting a career in logistics.
LOGISTICS DEPARTMENT ASSISTANT
We are looking for a reliable, proactive individual with a "can do" attitude who has the potential and willingness to learn through practical experience as full training will be provided.
You will assist the Logistics Controller with the following duties:
* Managing all delivery schedules
* Producing all delivery paperwork (e.g. delivery notes)
* Ensuring all delivery paperwork is in order and correct (e.g. delivery notes)
* Booking in forthcoming deliveries
* Liaison with sales team, delivery drivers, site representatives
* Organising Risk Assessments/Method Statements for site work
* Organising and arranging vehicle checks and maintenance (tyres, windscreens, forklift)
* Fleet management (fleet insurance, fleet recovery, vehicle servicing, MOTs)
* Managing pool car bookings
* Managing congestion charges/tolls etc. as required
* Booking overnights for drivers
* Organising collection of goods
* Organising quotes from 3rd parties, subcontractors
* Managing Fuel Card account.
