Immediate opportunity for an experienced Studio & Operations Manager to work for a reputable Art Gallery on a temporary to permanent basis. Working across two London locations, the successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day to day running of a creative, flexible and collaborative gallery space. Under the guidance of the Facilities Manager, you will be the 'go to' person for all work space related responsibilities. In addition, you will also be tasked with supervising the Receptionists and Facilities Runners.

Candidate Responsibilities: -

  • First point of contact for all building related enquiries and maintenance contracts.
  • Responsible for negotiating suppliers and building contractors.
  • Line management of Office and Front of House staff.
  • Proactively carrying out spot checks to ensure the upkeep of the building.
  • Manage the Facilities help-desk system, ensuring queries, incidents and issues are dealt with promptly.
  • Implement company policies and daily procedures, as instructed by the Operations Director.
  • Assisting Head of Operations and Head of Development on necessary projects.
  • Act as the primary con for Health & Safety, Fire Marshall and First Aid.
  • Research and provide admin support during the procurement of new supplier contracts.
  • Support the Events Manager with the preparation for a successful gallery events. This support will include some out of hours support. The types of events will include things such as; exhibitions, social events and ad-hoc external events.

Candidate Profile: -

  • Previous experience in Facilities/Studio or Office Management.
  • Approach tasks with a confident can-do attitude, be solutions focused and clearly communicate any issues and obstacles to management as quickly as possible.
  • Strong and clear communication skills with the ability to confidently develop and build great working relationships both internally and externally across all levels.
  • Always be approachable, remembering this role is the first point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders
  • Prioritise tasks appropriately, keeping up to date with any changing deadline and acting accordingly.
  • Taking initiative, problem solving and a flexible approach to all matters.
  • Working at pace and setting a good example to the wider company.
  • High standards of work with excellent attention to detail.
