Payroll Administrator

The role

We are recruiting for a Payroll and Benefits administrator to join the team in Retford. The Payroll Administration team provide transactional payroll support to approximately 2,000 colleagues and managers across the PIB Group, in a high volume, fast paced environment. The role requires attention to detail and an excellent standard of customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Be the first point of contact for handling all payroll administrative queries using the Freshdesk ticketing system,
  • Processes PIB's monthly payroll, collating data from all of the business units, ensuring it is fully authorised and keying into Zeus,
  • Process starters and leavers and pro-rate payments accordingly
  • Maintain Zeus payroll records by gathering, calculating, and inputting data
  • Adhering to payroll policies and procedures and compliance with relevant law
  • At all times honours confidentiality of employees' pay records
  • Running and distributing payroll reports to the finance department
  • Co-ordinating effectively with the HR Administration team to ensure correct employee data
  • Ensure Pension Auto Enrolment compliance
  • Calculation and input of maternity, paternity and shared parental leave pay
  • Ensuring all payroll deadlines are met on a monthly basis
  • Administration of company benefits via both Zeus and the flexible benefits system (Apollo), generating appropriate payroll reports and uploading the details for benefits purchased and relevant deductions
  • To ensure that the relevant authorisations have been obtained prior to processing payroll changes
  • To undertake data security training and take the utmost care with our colleague data at all times

Experience
  • Efficient administrator with high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • You will need to have 1 years experience in a payroll or finance role
  • You will need to be competent in excel
  • Organised approach with ability to prioritise effectively
  • You will need to have excellent attention to detail as there will be a lot of peer checking
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines under pressure, a fast and forward thinker, have excellent customer service skills both verbal and written.
  • You will need to be confident on the phone as you will be speaking to a lot of stakeholders within the business
  • Collaborative approach - willing and able to work with other team members to complete joint pieces of work, and team tasks
  • Experience working in a fast paced, transactional environment
