Job Purpose

To assist the financial controller with daily checks of all sales orders inputted into the NetSuite system. Using your acute eye for detail you will be responsible for ensuring sufficient profit is made from each order, along with checking cost prices, profit margin and helping to secure the best prices from our third-party partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • To ensure all orders have been raised with the correct cost price and sales price
  • To approve orders that are below or above our minimum or maximum price and ensure these orders are making the required profit margin.
  • Liaise with sales director and sales team to ensure that selling prices for our various customers are adhered to.
  • Liaise with the accounts receivable team to ensure that they are aware of any price changes before invoicing customers.
  • To assist the AR team with customer orders delivered for fewer litres than ordered and ensure that sale prices are changed in accordance.
  • Investigate areas to improve profitability
  • Drive efficiencies, streamline and implement processes.
  • Assist the financial controller with month-end gross margin reporting and help to fix any issues that may result from this.
  • Assist the AR team with other ad-hoc invoicing issues and customer queries.
  • Assist in securing the best prices from our third-party partners and build good relationships with our third-party supply chain.
  • Assist in the resolution of customers accounts placed on stop due to non-payment.
  • Raise any concerns on revenue loss with the financial controller and sales director.

Person Specification

  • Prior experience of working within a revenue protection role or similar.
  • Acute attention to detail.
  • Ability to establish and maintain good client relationships, both internally and externally at all levels
  • Believes in and exhibits good customer care skills.
  • Written and oral communication skills
  • Calm, confident manner to handle potentially uncomfortable conversations
  • Competent in Microsoft Office products including Excel
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Drive, determination, and ownership of the role.
  • Continuous improvement mindset.
