Location: based from our Basingstoke office - hybrid working from home may be possible in the future once training completed

Contract & hours: Perm, full time, 8am to 5pm
Kier Places are recruiting now for a Commercial Administrator to join our Facilities Management Commercial team at our Basingstoke office, to work as a member of the billing/invoicing team in ensuring that work is charged to the client in a timely and presentable manner. A key responsibility will include the monitoring and reduction of contract work in progress and reporting on contract performance.
Key Responsibilities
In this exciting and varied role, you will provide commercial administrative support to the business - ensuring information is prepared and presented to permit accurate and timely billing of works to our clients.
The Commercial Administrator will review and analyse the cost data for labour, materials, plant and subcontractors to ensure charges are allocated to the correct job number as well as review the job cost information in Oracle and Concept to ensure all works undertaken are correctly charged to our clients. Liaising with the appropriate Quantity Surveyor, Contract Manager, Quotes Team or Helpdesk Team to obtain supporting information you will enable the production of sales invoices. You'll manage client queries, prepare and maintain trackers and review loss making jobs to identify trends and produce recommendations to the business.
This role is a good introduction to the business for someone wishing to start a career in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Contracts.

If you have previous experience of billing, finance, project or commercial administration along with excellent communication skills and Microsoft Excel proficiency - ideally within the Facilities Management, Construction or Engineering industry - this could be the role for you.
