Job Description
Do you have a proven background in sales? Are you someone that can motivate and encourage your team? Are you commercially aware and have a good understanding of the building trade and customer base? If this sounds like you we would love to talk to you about the National Sales Office Manager position here at Travis Perkins Northampton!
What you'll do
As the National Sales Office Manager you will report into the Sales Director - National Sales, you will help develop and maintain profitable direct and ex-yard sales in line with the established annual operating plan. You will ensure the National Sales Office provides a single source of contact to service the requirements of the national account customer base. As the National Sales Office Manager you will be expected to negotiate and service national / regional trading arrangements for the supply of building materials to all customers associated with the National Sales Office.
Some accountabilities of the role
- Achievement of monthly and annual sales and profit targets.
- In conjunction with the National Account Sales team produce and service contract quotations.
- Build your own portfolio of customers and ensure regular contact is made.
- Working with suppliers, manufacturers and procurement teams.
- Motivate, encourage and be a natural leader for your team members.
- Targeting new business opportunities
What are we looking for?
Ideally you will have previous experience in a similar type role, or maybe you're looking for career development and feel you are readying for your next challenge. You will have a proven background in sales and operations, excellent communicator, a great people manager and is commercially aware. Some other attributes we would like you to have is being self motivated, enthusiastic and organised, you will also have good numerical skills.
