We are looking for an experienced Insolvency Case Administrator / Senior to join our client's Business Recovery & Insolvency department in their Exeter office on a permanent basis. This role would suit an ambitious candidate who has experience in this field and looking to progress their career further. Study support is also available where applicable to work towards relevant insolvency qualifications. You will be a key part of the Business Recovery & Insolvency Team carrying out various tasks predominantly on Corporate Insolvency cases, including Creditors' Voluntary Liquidations, Administrations, Company Voluntary Arrangements and Members' Voluntary Liquidations. You will also administer cases from initial engagement to closure whilst also assisting with more complex matters and personal insolvency cases on occasions. There will also be opportunities to assist with the client's networking and marketing functions.
Main duties will include:
• Setting up new cases and closure of cases using IPS software
• Completion of ethical checklists, money laundering documents and other checklists
• Liaising with stakeholders on a regular basis, including agents, directors and creditors
• General day to day administration of cases
• Drafting annual and final reports, statement of affairs, declaration of solvency forms and other statutory documents
• Ensuring statutory deadlines are met and liaising with the insolvency practitioner to progress cases
• Agreeing creditor claims and preparation of dividends
• Assisting with statutory investigations, including reviewing accounts, bank statements and other documents
• Assisting with realisation of various classes of assets
• Attend client premises for meetings where required. From time to

• Adaptable, organised and conscientious
• Takes the initiative, ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
• Professional and team orientated in approach
• Working knowledge of corporate insolvency processes
• Good organisational and numeracy skills
• Ability to attend occasional meetings outside normal hours
• Good working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proven accuracy and an eye for detail
• Ability to learn new IT skills quickly
• Knowledge of basic accounting and IPS software is desirable, but not essential
• CPI qualification, or equivalent, is desirable but not essential
Terms
• 36.25 hours / 5 days per week with flexible working available
• Annual salary review
• 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays increasing to 25 days plus bank holidays after 5 years' service
