Assistant Category Merchandiser - £29k to £35k - South Oxfordshire - Luxury Interior Retailer

This is a great opportunity for someone to join this well established luxury interior retailer, offering high-end furnishings to its individual and trade clientèle. It is an ideal opportunity for someone who has 1 to 2 years experience in a head office merchandising environment, or similar, with a good eye for details and good analytical and excel skills, with a professional and friendly outlook.

SALARY ETC:

• £29k to £35k + excellent benefits and working conditions
• Permanent, full-time, 37.5 hours, Monday to Friday.
• Hybrid working, with a flexible approach to hours, but must work the core hours required.
• South Oxfordshire

REQUIREMENTS:

• Ideally 1 to 2 years of experience in head office, within a merchandising environment, although open to someone with less experience with the right skill set and attitude.
• High proficient Numerical and analytical skills, with good excel skills.
• Have a good eye for detail.
• Confident communicator with excellent organisational and problem solving skills with an above reproach attitude.
• Eager to learn with a can do, positive attitude.
• Happy to get involved in all aspects of the merchandising role and be able to share insight into product performance, through analysis, with all levels of the business and to be able to help influence decisions being made.
• Someone who is able to think creatively about product and trading.

SUMMARY OF ROLE:

The Merchandising team is expanding, following the success and expansion of this high-end interior company, with growing retail outlets in the UK and further afield. They are now in search of an experienced Assistant/Junior Category Merchandiser.

The Assistant/Junior Category Merchandiser will have the experience and ability to assist the Category Merchandiser in planning and trading the product ranges, across the UK & US markets, to achieve maximum sales and profit growth whilst keeping within agreed stock and cost targets.

The Assistant/Junior Category Merchandiser will be flexible and adaptable in their approach to work, but will also be tenacious, hard working and reliable. In addition, they will be a confident communicator with excellent organisational and problem solving skills with an above reproach attitude.
