Birmingham 2022 is looking for an Assistant Client Services Manager. The Assistant Client Services Manager will be responsible for supporting the quantifying, capturing and agreeing the transport requirements for all Client Groups; and supporting the development and communication of service information to relevant clients. This key role will have a strong interface with Birmingham 2022 client representatives and the Birmingham 2022 Transport departments.

This role will ensure that the Transport Client Services programme is adequately resourced with suitably qualified and experienced personnel to deliver a successful Games and will motivate, develop and support relevant staff according to the Birmingham 2022 Workforce strategy and associated policies and procedures.

The Assistant Client Services Manager will contribute to the collation and documentation of specific Client Services information for the Transfer of Games Knowledge required by the Commonwealth Games Federation and as defined in Games Manuals.

Responsibilities

Assist the System Managers in establishing the transport requirements for all client groups using fleet, bus or public transport.
Assist in developing and gaining approval for all transport Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for each client.
Assist supporting the determination of the types and numbers of vehicles needed to meet all agreed client requirements and the efficient and sustainable development of transport.
Assist the Client Services Manager in communicating the transport service to the client groups during the planning phase by coordinating transport information collection and presentations for client meetings, e.g. Commonwealth Games Federation Coordination Commission meetings, Commonwealth Games Association visits etc.
Assist with the design and delivery of Games Time client information requirements.
Manage the client transport information desks and coordinators at non-competition venues.
Assist with the planning of bus, fleet and venue transport operations and other activities such as operational planning, venue planning, contingency planning etc.
Help populate Programme Status Reports, Risk and Issue management and maintain actions and assumptions registers for transport client services.
Effectively contribute to the collation and documentation of specific Transport & Bus System information for the Transfer of Games Knowledge required by the Commonwealth Games Federation and as defined in Games Manuals.

Skills and Experience

Essential

Ability to build relationships with client representatives and influence decisions and processes.
Ability to understand Games Family transport client needs and communicate requirements to the Transport Functional Area.
Ability to develop transport information in formats suitable for transport clients.
Strong communicator, verbally, written and in preparing diagrams / flow charts.
Experienced in preparing reports and written communication.
Customer service approach.
Ability to manage multiple projects.

Contract: Fixed-term contract until August 2022

Location: One Brindley Place, Birmingham (full time office-based)

Salary: circa GBP27,500 per annum
