Location: Lichfield

Salary: cGBP29,000 + Bonus + Pension

We are representing a highly successful UK Company, part of a Global Group, which sells a range of market leading automated and manual bespoke products, to a number of sectors, offering installation and aftercare services. With expertise in the door and window controls industry they have an extensive product range, backed by comprehensive project management skills, whilst offering full technical support for the supply only or supply and installation of automatic doors.

An opportunity has arisen for a HR Officer to support the HR Manager in a busy HR function at their site based in Fradley, near Lichfield.

The Role:

* Support and guide employees and the Management team on all aspects of employment law and best practice in order to maintain an open and communicative culture

* Work with and support peers with resourcing requirements, through succession planning and proactive and reactive recruitment activities

* Take responsibility for and manage the reviewing, monitoring, developing and delivery of employee development and training plans, including; probationary reviews, continuous professional development, succession related development and management development

* Ensure that all payroll and administration processes are completed and perform regular and random checks on all training records, personnel records and HR databases with regard to full compliance to statutory and company procedures

* Ensure that all absences, disciplines and grievances are effectively dealt with and fully documented

* Support the business with Continuous Improvement activities

* Liaison and co-operation with all the relevant statutory authorities

* Undertake all Recruitment and Selection activities as and when required

* Support project work within the HR function

The Person:

* Educated to degree level qualification or equivalent (HNC / HND)

* Ideally CIPD qualified, Level 5 or above

* Proven track record in Human Resources, ideally in a similar role working within a manufacturing / production environment

* Previous experience of payroll would be advantageous

* Strong technical knowledge of HR legislation compliance

* Process driven with the ability to implement new policies and procedures to move the business forward

* Experienced in organising / orchestrating disciplinary procedures and providing advice to Line Managers

* A strong awareness of HR data confidentiality

* Strong planning and organisation skills with a keen eye for detail

* Excellent communication (written and oral), interpersonal and presentation skills

* Strong administration skills (constructing offer letters / contracts)

* Good knowledge of recruitment processes and procedures

* Previous experience of working with / updating a Training Matrix

* Knowledge of occupational health policies

* Ability to coach, support and mentor fellow colleagues, regarding HR processes

* Dynamic, engaging and proactive approach to challenging assignments if presented

* Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously

* Willingness to travel between sites

* Demonstrable experience in advising and supporting line management

* Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills

* A good level of I.T. literacy - Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and PowerPoint
