Client Service Manager – Law Firm. £60k – Permanent – City of London, with frequent travel to the Surrey & Gloucestershire offices.

 

Our client, an International Law Firm are seeking a Client Services Manager to support the Client Services Executive Leads and the Document Executive Leads as well as managing 140 Secretaries across the three locations. You will ensure operational excellence whilst supporting internal and external clients.

 

This is a rare opportunity to work in an extremely busy role which will require prior team lead or management exposure.

 

The focus will be to identify the best approach and methodology to provide exceptional service levels to Partners, Fee Earners and their clients as well as leading a busy secretarial team.

 

Duties will include, but not limited to:

  • Manage the operational day to day activities of the internal Client Services function
  • Manage the recruitment of the team across all three locations
  • Work closely with HR in areas such as people related matters, team performance, sickness, and absence
  • Support the Leads in the appraisal process, gaining and providing feedback and attending appraisal meetings
  • Managing and monitoring distribution of work allocated to the team
  • Consult with relevant Business and Client Services teams
  • Update the Director accordingly
  • Consult with Leads to ensure cover within the team when necessary
  • Work closely with other Legal and Business Services teams
  • Project work as required

 

The successful candidate will have:

 

  • Team Lead or Management experience within a similar role in a Law Firm
  • Solid customer service centric experience
  • A strong work ethic and excellent business acumen
  • Excellent people skills
  • The ability to use initiative and develop solutions to ensure that outstanding service is provided as standard
  • Flexible, capable, and dependable
  • The ability to work to tight deadlines and to remain calm under pressure
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Analytical mind, able to anticipate and identify potential problems and supply innovative solutions
  • Strong collaborator, but able to work to own initiative
  • Advanced skills across the MS office Suite inclusive of Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
