Junior Desktop IT Support  – Manchester City based 

Salary £18,000 starting  excellent career progression 

 

Leading City finance advisory / Investment bank are looking for a Junior Desktop support analyst to join their friendly and dedicated IT team. Previous Helpdesk experience in a similar role in a corporate environment would be a great advantage.

 

Job outline

  • Provide 1st line support for the business for PC Hardware and Software and mobile device queries.
  • Set up, install, configure and deploy new IT equipment
  • Set up AV/projector rooms for internal and client meeting requests
  • Perform any computer/desk moves where required.
  • Promote the helpdesk as the primary contact point between the IT department and the user community

 

  • Ensure IT Support calls are being resolved in an efficient and effective manner
  • Responsible for documentation of work

Experience required:

  • Experience in first line client-facing IT Support
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (365) applications
  • Basic Knowledge of Ricoh MFD Printers
  • Knowledge of Smart Phone technology (Samsung/IPhone)
  • Desktop operating systems experience (Windows 10). Basic knowledge of servers and Active Directory would be a useful but not essential
  • Knowledge of web browsers (Internet Explorer, Microsoft Edge, Firefox, Google Chrome and Safari)
  • Intelligent, quick logical mind. Ability to analyse and troubleshoot a problem arriving at a logical solution
