HR Manager - County Durham (GBP35,000- GBP45,000)

Location

Based in the beautiful area of Derwentside in County Durham, you will have easy access to the A1 from all parts of the North East.

The Company:

Our client are an established FMCG Manufacturer who have enjoyed year on year growth. They are about to build a new facility, which is powered solely by wind and solar power.

This adds to big plans in 2022 with further development and headcount.

Salary of a HR Manager

* 8.30 am to 5.00 pm - Monday - Friday

* On site, occasional working from home with prior agreement

* GBP(phone number removed) per annum

* 31 days holiday

* Potential profit share payment

* Standard pension, 3% employer contributions, 5% min employer contributions

* Reporting to Director of Operations

Job Description of a HR Manager

* Assisting Line Managers to understand and implement policies and procedures.

* Promoting equality and diversity as part of the culture of the organisation.

* Liaising with a wide range of people involved in policy areas such as staff performance and health & safety.

* Recruiting staff - working closely with various departmental managers, this includes developing job descriptions and person specifications, preparing job adverts, checking application forms, shortlisting, interviewing and selecting candidates.

* Developing and implementing policies on issues like working conditions, performance management, equal opportunities, disciplinary procedures and absence management.

* Preparing staff handbooks.

* Distribution of the ETI base code and other ethical polices and principles.

* Advising on pay and other remuneration issues, including promotion and benefits.

* Administering payroll and maintaining employee records.

* Interpreting and advising on employment law.

* Dealing with grievances and implementing disciplinary procedures.

* Developing with Line Managers, HR planning strategies which consider immediate and long term staff requirements.

* Planning and sometimes delivering training including inductions for new staff.

* Analysing training needs in conjunction with Departmental Managers.

Skills & experience of a HR Manager

* Previous experience as a HR Manager

* Ideally you will have Manufacturing / Engineering experience

* Experience implementing policies / procedures

* Managing staff and overseeing large teams

* CIPD Level (At least level 5)
