Groomfield Recruitment are seeking an enthusiastic individual to assist in our Accounts Department at a rapidly growing company based in Birmingham.
Our client are manufacturers and suppliers of nursery textiles and furniture to many online and high street retailers. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a busy office environment alongside a dedicated team. We are looking for a proactive, driven accounts administrator to work alongside our accounts team on various tasks.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
* Perform the day-to-day processing of accounts payable transactions to ensure that finances are maintained in an effective, up to date and accurate manner
* To be dealing with Accounts Payables & Accounts Receivables, Reconciliation & Reporting
* Processing and filing of paperwork
CANDIDATE STRENGTHS
* Candidate must have strong administration & computer skills, be able to use own initiative & work without supervision,
* Be honest and reliable and to be able to work as part of a small team
* Candidate must have a flexible and adaptable attitude
* Candidate must be organised, tidy and to be able to implement their own processes
* Candidate must have an interest in accounting practices with some experience of accountancy-based programs and experience in accountancy roles
KNOWLEDGE:
* Accounting experience
* Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable and maintaining general ledgers
* Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information
* Experience with Microsoft Office or other desktop productivity applications
* Ability to maintain confidentiality concerning financial and employee information.
