Marcilly Recruitment’s technology client is looking for a bright graduate to join their UK sales team as they expand globally following series A funding last year.

 

They are undergoing a phase of huge international expansion, doubling in size over the next year and expanding into new territories. They currently operate in 26 different countries working with well-renowned sports brands and other market-leading consumer goods companies.

Within a year they anticipate a successful Sales Development Representative (SDR) could become an Account Executive.

 

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) will be part of a small but growing team, that will perform inbound and outbound sales activities to create and develop sales together with the account executives. The Sales Development Representative will have the chance to work with potential prospects from all around the world and directly contribute to the building of the team and its success.

 

Sales Development Representative Requirements:

  • Teamwork and communication skills: no one is more important than anyone else. They collaborate and support each other constantly. 
  • 1+ years of experience in a sales-related or client facing role, preferably as a successful SDR in a SaaS company.
  • The successful applicant must have a degree, a Russell Group graduate is preferred.
  • Excellent communication, listening and negotiation skills.
  • Experience using CRM software and cloud-based platforms preferred.
  • Organised, able to meet deadlines, work under pressure, and deliver on many things at once.
  • Ability to identify potential problems and provide the solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to explain complex issues clearly.
  • A positive and energetic approach demonstrated and the ability to deal with rejection.
  • A self-driven person who is also a team-player able to work as part of a small team.
  • Must have the right to live and work in the UK.

 

To sum up, your day-to-day challenges would be:

  • Responding, engaging and qualifying inbound leads and inquiries.
  • Contacting potential clients through cold calls and emails.
  • Creating target prospects lists and penetrating key accounts.
  • Gathering relevant information to understand how prospects and their businesses work and how the PIM can meet their needs.
  • Identifying key players, researching and obtaining business requirements, and presenting solutions to begin the sales cycle.
  • Setting demos and appointments for the account executives when a lead reaches a qualified stage.
  • Ensuring successful follow-through of the sales cycle by maintaining accurate activity and lead qualification information in the CRM. Working with the account executives on closing deals.
  • Actively contributing to designing successful processes in the SDR position as well as implementing the best practices to drive high results.
  • Reporting on the results to the Sales Operations Manager.
  • Understanding the PIM to provide excellent counsel to the new prospects.
  • Acting as an expert on the company’s offerings/solution and the industry.
  • Collaborating with sales and marketing team members on strategic sales approach.
  • Pro-actively identifying ways of improving the products and services they deliver.

 

Sales Development Representative Offerings:

  • £25K-£30K base and quarterly bonus if you achieve individual and team objectives. The annual bonus will be in the region of £25K-£30K. The successful candidate would see their first bonus within the first three months based on performance.
  • Full time employment contract.
  • 25 working days of vacation per year + bank holidays.
