Our client, a leading UK law firm based in Northampton are looking to recruit a Switchboard Operator on a 9-12 month fixed term contract basis.  You will work 8.45am – 5.15pm Monday to Friday and the salary on offer is £21,000.

The purpose of this position is to answer all incoming calls for both internal and external callers – on average around 500 calls per day.  You will provide a key function to the support of the overall business and providing a high level of client care is essential.  You will be well spoken, proactive, friendly and go above and beyond to provide the best level of customer service at all times.

Duties will include:

• Answer all incoming calls within three rings
• Answer all calls in a professional, courteous manner
• Respond to inbound e-mails within 30 minutes
• Follow the firms complaint’s procedures
• Record out of hours message on a daily basis
• Report any switchboard faults and seek resolution quickly
• Check voicemails daily and pass on any messages in person/via e-mail
• Up-date telephone lists
