Private School based in Central London is seeking a graduate with at least three years relevant experience to take responsibility for all their marketing needs.  This is a really super job in a supportive and forward thinking environment.

Reporting directly to the very knowledgeable and very experienced Principal, you will work closely with your colleagues in the External Relations department and other key members of the Senior Management Team.

The job is extremely varied, but key duties are as follows:

  • designing and producing an annual marketing schedule
  • delivering interesting and creative marketing campaigns
  • devising novel social media campaigns
  • developing content for publication on all platforms
  • researching and implementing marketing events, for a wide range of topics

To be successful, you will possess many of the following attributes::

  • An excellent understanding of social media, analytics and crafting digital and hard copy;
  • Accuracy and good attention to detail and the desire and ability to take ownership of your tasks, to work without direct supervision.  You will have plenty of autonomy and freedom to develop ideas and campaigns, using your creativity and strong story telling abilities;
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills, including diplomacy, and an excellent telephone manner -you will be liaising with a very wide range of people such as well known, celebrities, other educational organisations, pupils, parents, teachers to name a few!
  • Excellent verbal skills, with the ability to adapt your style to convey the relevant messages accurately and effectively to the different audiences you will be connecting with;
  • Extremely organised;
  • Excellent IT skills, and a willingness/aptitude to develop these. In particular knowledge of Google Analytics, SEO, Mailchimp etc. The ability to use databases efficiently and accurately will be required;
  • Also an understanding of and empathy with the independent school sector, together with a commitment to the school community and its purpose and future prosperity;
  • Flexibility to work calmly and reliably in a busy school, both in a team and independently, with energy, initiative and cheerful enthusiasm for developing the role and the desire to undertake any training offered;
  • The ability and willingness to go beyond your own responsibilities to help others at busy times and to work outside normal hours as required.
