Conveyancing Legal Secretary Job Description
Location: Central Oxford
Salary: GBP24,000-GBP26,000
Full-time Conveyancing Legal Secretary - Previous legal experience preferable.
Our client is looking for an experienced residential Conveyancing Secretary to join their current outstanding support staff team.
The role will be based in Central Oxford. It is a friendly, but extremely busy office.
The person appointed will:
• Have a track record of previous experience in at least one of the following: Conveyancing
• Be keen to work in a busy, dynamic office;
• Demonstrate they can work independently but also as part of a Team;
• Be prepared to work flexibly within the office environment;
• Have a proven track record of working within a legal environment in a secretarial
capacity in a private solicitors' firm or with an In House legal team.
Essential skills and Requirements of the role:
• Exceptional secretarial/IT/audio and support skills;
• Outstanding verbal and written communications including use of the telephone;
• Proficiency in the use of English; both grammar and spelling;
• Ability to work quickly, accurately, to deadlines and under pressure;
• Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision on occasions;
• Experience of using case management systems ( NB: training will be provided for our
specific system);
• Excellent interpersonal skills, understanding the need for discretion;
• A friendly approachable personality to facilitate the link between fee earners, clients
and third parties;
• Professional, personal presentation
Salary and Benefits:
The position is offered on a Full-Time basis.
• Salary according to experience
• 25 days holiday per annum plus normal bank holidays
• Pension
