We are a busy and successful firm of solicitors with branches across the region and we are now seeking a Trainee Legal Department Administrator to join our team based in Dorking working on our Private Client accounts. You will provide administrative support to the private client department and support 1 fee earner. The role would suit Law Graduates with an interest in the Private Client discipline who graduated in 2021 and are seeking their first full time legal role or graduates from previous years who have already gained some general office or legal experience and are now seeking to progress their career.

For this opportunity we offer a salary up to GBP24k with 25 days holiday, pension contribution, life insurance and cash plan.

The Legal Department Administrator Responsibilities:

To prepare correspondence and documents through audio typing and script

Opening and closing files in accordance with the requirements of Lexcel

To prepare post and enclosures for despatch.

To arrange for all copying to be done, in person if the designated person is not available to undertake the task.

Accurate, efficient diary management.

Co-ordination/planning of appointments.

To prepare meeting rooms as necessary and for the tidying and clearance of the room at the end of the meeting.

To provide refreshments when asked to do so.

To provide support to other secretaries as required.

To provide guidance to less experienced and temporary secretaries when required to do so.

To attend clients both in person and on the telephone and to provide such support in a professional and friendly manner in keeping with the firm's standards for client care.

To undertake any specific training when required to do so and overall to have a responsibility towards self-development.

To ensure the confidentiality of all the firm's and client's documentation and information.

Perform any other duties the Partners require.

To be successful for the Trainee level Legal Administrator you will need to have a Law Degree, strong PC skills and ideally have gained some legal work experience through a current job, internship or work experience during your studies. You should be happy to commute to Dorking as this is an office based role and in return we can offer a salary between GBP20 and GBP24k.
