Hospitality Assistant

Hospitality Assistant - EVENTS - CORPORATE LAW FIRM - needing someone who wishes to move into a more office services based role. Job title could be Office Services Assistant, however there would be some events hospitality duties, helping setting up events, customer service, and needing a really 'can do' enthusiastic person who wants to succeed within a corporate setting. This is a fantastic opportunity for a 'can do' candidate who has a little experience within events or restaurants. The role would be varied and interesting.
Monday to Friday 37.5 hours a week. The role would often start at 11.30am and finish at 8pm with 1 hr lunch, for 3 days a week. Then 10am to 6.30pm (1hr lunch) for 2 days. 

  • Meeting and greeting and assisting on events within the law firm
  • Assist with courier bookings and international dispatches.
  • Report all floor maintenance/housekeeping issues to the Facilities Coordinator or Head of Office Services.
  • Setting up events, ordering in food requests and arranging the food on plates before the event
  • Some serving of champagne or wine during an event
  • Archiving tasks - sending/requesting documents from our external provider and maintaining accurate records.
  • Arranging taxis, couriers and special deliveries as required.
  • Team player - flexible approach with helping your team, occasional events and hospitality cover. 
  • Able to deputise and cover reception, hospitality and facilities, and Office Services tasks.
  • Be confident in the firm’s structure – being that go to person for ad-hoc queries.
  • Occasional switchboard support
  • Maintain strong relationships with regular suppliers, encouraging a high-quality service delivery.
  • Able to perform opening and closing of tasks, managing bar/tea point stock, the hub and meeting room set up.
  • You will be responsible (along with your colleagues) for the delivery of an exceptional client experience to all colleagues and guests visiting
