The Position
My client is looking for a Senior Events Manager with experience in the global delivery of large scale corporate events to support across three of its subsidiary companies. With some exciting and challenging events in the pipeline they are looking for someone to hit the ground running and embrace a challenge!

Events will range from private parties, conferences, bespoke client entertainment trips, offsites and networking dinners.

This position reports directly to the Director of Events and will be part of a larger events team that dedicates 50% of its time to organising events for two financial services firms and 50% to organising private events for the Founder of the group of businesses.

My client is looking for a highly organised, logistics focussed individual who will be able to confidently project manage large-scale events and juggle concurrent projects.

Working well under pressure, reacting swiftly to last minute event changes and being able to communicate confidently are integral to this role. It is a given that this role requires exceptional written and Excel skills.
International travel will be required, sometimes with little notice and a willingness to work extra hours or on weekends is required when running events.

The Event team organises high-level, strategic events focused on relationship and network building for portfolio companies at a Group and client level. With ambitious growth plans in the pipeline, this is a really exciting time to join.

Responsibilities
• Event management and ownership of global events from planning through to delivery
• Leading project teams, providing event schedules and timelines
• Interpret client briefs, provide solutions and responses
• Destination research, recruit suppliers and event teams
• Event budget management, managing multiple budgets, ensuring accurate re-charging
• Full onsite event management including: training and managing logistics staff and all suppliers onsite, managing security teams and support staff during client events
• Yearly timeline planning for global events
• Drafting invitation letters and event proposals
• Oversee all production and act as the main point of internal sign-off
• Guest list and registration management
• Lead internal teams to confidently deliver projects

Key Skills
• Substantial experience in a corporate events, project management or operations role
• Project manage events with confidence
• Strong event management and project management skills
• Experience in managing budgets and guest lists
• Exceptional numeracy skills, attention to detail, and a resourceful attitude
• Exhibit drive, initiative and enthusiasm
• Experience working independently and to non-negotiable deadlines
• Client relationship management and a proven track record with high-net worth individuals
• Strategic, pre-emptive thinker
• Excellent written English, proofreading and research skills
• Highly competent with Excel and PowerPoint
• University Graduate
• Enjoy travelling and have the flexibility to do so, sometimes with short notice
• Willingness to work outside of 9-5 office hours as required
